Ladies, if you are like me I love to shop! Fashion is a huge factor in a woman’s life and trying to accomplish this many of us go to the extreme to “look fabulous." On the other hand, I can’t live like the Kardashians or even try to “Keep up with the Joneses”. I have to live within my means; you know what I’m talking about, a BUDGET! I know that word can make some of us crawl into the nearest hole, but it really isn’t all that bad.
Let’s think about it, it really shouldn’t cost an arm and leg to look like a Diva. First start with your closet this is the key to it all, it’s our happy place! Look at the clothes you already have and build from there. You should buy items to compliment the clothes you already have in your closet. My motto is buy clothes that are fashionable and functional. Majority of your clothes in your wardrobe should be able to mix and match and some of your clothes can be worn in other seasons. I love to be able to get multiple uses out of the same outfit without other people noticing. Think about it, being able to mix and match can be fun and can spice up your wardrobe; no one likes boring same ol’ same ol’ outfits, right?
When shopping on a budget I find it handy to have a plan on what you are going to buy. Impulse shopping can lead you to drift off your plan and spend too much. Look for stores that are having sales or offer coupons. Stores like Target, Rainbow, Burlington, Ross and Marshall’s are very budget friendly. Also try some of my favorite plus size stores like Torrid, Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart and Avenue they always have sales and other perks. Make sure to purchase clothes that won’t make you look sloppy or have clothes in your wardrobe tailored to give your appearance a crisp look and give you that well put together look.
See, with these few tricks shopping on a budget isn’t all that bad if you plan accordingly and stick to it. Why not have more money in your wallet and a more fashionable and functional wardrobe. Now who looks like a million bucks…you do!
